Delivery and Returns

 

All Items being shipped to the UK mainland are free for orders over £75 (exclusions apply - see below)

Our team are committed to trying to offer you the fastest delivery possible. All of our stock UK based in our warehouse in Camberley, Surrey. In fact over 98% of our orders received Mon - Friday before 2.30pm are delivered next day (mainland UK excluding Scottish Highlands).

We can also have your parcel delivered on a Saturday for your convenience (extra small charge applies) 

Our stock works on a rolling stock system. Once our stock levels reach a minimum level it is re-ordered which 98% of the time guarantees that we will have stock of every item. Unfortunately though, even though our minimum stock level is very high, if the Techmar team in Holland have an issue we can run out of certain items. If there is a problem with any of your order, our team will contact you very shortly after your order has been received.


Delivery Options

Free Delivery

Store PickupThe pick up option allows you to pay for your item through the web site before coming down to our showroom in Camberley, Surrey to collect your order. We would recommend that you call before picking up your goods to confirm that your order is ready for collection. Collections times are from 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Free DeliveryAll UK mainland orders that total over £75 qualify for standard 1-3 day free delivery. This excludes Scottish Highlands with the following postcodes
AB30-38, AB44-56, FK17-99, G83, IV1-28, IV30-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-33, PA34-40, PH18-26, PH30, PH31-41, PH49-50

Royal Mail

Small items such as bulbs and connectors are sent via Royal Mail. This not only helps keep the price down but also allows the items to be posted through your door as there is no signature required. Please note, selecting the Royal Mail option is done at the customers own risk, we can not be held liable for any issues with delivery. We use Royal Mail standard 2nd class service which is NOT tracked. Smaller orders may also be shipped via a Royal Mail Tracked service. 

DPD/DHL Courier Delivery

DPD and DHL are available in four options for mainland UK, Next Day, 1-3 day delivery, Next Day AM and Saturday All Day service. All orders received before 2.30pm Mon - Fri are shipped the same day. Orders received after 2.30pm will be shipped the next working day.

Please note that no UK courier guarantees the delivery services they provided. 99.5% of deliveries arrive as expected but please do not book Tradesmen to carry out work until you have the order. We cannot be held responsible for delays in shipping by the couriers. We reserve the right to change couriers if a better service is available for your order, although the delivery timescales will remain the same. If you have a strict preference to a courier, please contact us to discuss. We will always do our best to accommodate your request. We reserve the right to change couriers to suit your location to achieve the fastest and safest delivery to you.

UK Mainland Weekday AM£15.00 Delivery guaranteed next working day before noon. Excludes Scottish Highlands (postcodes above)
UK Mainland Saturday£15.00 Delivery Will take place on Saturday - anytime between 7am - 7pm. Excludes Scottish Highlands (postcodes above) If your order is over £250, the carriage charge will be £7.50 for a Saturday service.
Rest Of UK - Highlands. NI etc£16.20 2-3 day delivery. If your order is over £250, the carriage will reduce to £8.70 
Republic Of Ireland£25.00 2-3 day delivery See T&C's below. If your order is over £300, the carriage charge reduces to £15.00 - Local VAT and import duty payable by customer on entry to ireland
Channel Islands£20.00 2-3 day delivery (VAT exempt) 

If Your Country Is Not Listed

If your country is not listed then please contact us. We can look to quote for delivery to the country of your choice. All overseas deliveries will require the purchaser to pay local import VAT and duties. Please note If Royal Mail posting option is used we are unable to guarantee delivery. 

Shipping from the UK to Republic of Ireland, the EU Zone and Beyond

Please note that since Brexit 2021, shipping to the EU Zone (including Republic of Ireland) has changed. We will supply the order free of UK 20% Vat, but you will be liable to pay the VAT on the order at your local country rate plus any applicable Customs Import Charges.  You will need to supply a current, monitored email address and mobile number on the order to enable local Customs to contact you to arrange payment of the Fees. If you fail to pay the fees, the order will be returned to us and a refund raised less delivery fees incurred by us. Returns/Damages

We hope you're happy with your purchase and ask that you check through your delivery straight away and to let us know of any damages within 5 days. Please have you invoice number to hand when contacting us, this can be found on the invoice that came with the goods (please do not refer to an online order number). Once we have been notified of any damages or faulty items we can arrange for any replacements or credits to be processed.  

Changed your mind?

Garden Light Shop fully adheres to the distance selling regulations so if you've decided you don't quite like something or that its no longer required, you have 30 days to return an item from date of delivery. The item(s) must be in their original packaging and resalable condition, failure to do so may result in a reduced credit/refund. If you have opened an item, please make sure you have used minimal tape when resealing so not to damage the packaging. We also ask that you make sure the product box is protected throughout transit either in bubble wrap or an outer carton. Your return must be authorised before sending anything back to us, please call us or send us an email so we can provide a returns authorisation number. If you placed your online and created an account, you will be able to request a returns authorisation for any item on your order. We will then review and authorise. Any item returned outside the 30 day return period or not authorised by us may not be refunded.

We recommend that you return any items using a fully traceable courier or postal service, we cannot be help responsible and won't be able to credit anything that doesn't arrive with us. You may find it useful to go through a company called Interparcel or you can book a return through us. Please contact us for price to collect if you cannot arrange this yourself.  

If you refuse a delivery from our appointed courier, without prior authorisation from the Garden Light Shop in writing, we reserve the right to charge you any return charges that are levied against us by the courier. All couriers charge an aborted charge and a return to sender charge.  

Please allow 5-7 days for the refund to be processed. 

Our opening times are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We are closed on weekends, public and bank holidays
